One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people can be. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked. "Oh Yeah" said the son. "So what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered, "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."
With this the boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks dad for showing me how poor we are."
Too many times we forget what we have and concentrate on what we don't have. What is one person's worthless object is another's prize possession. It is all based on one's perspective. Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for all the bounty we have, instead of worrying about wanting more. Take joy in all you have, especially your friends.

A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."
The husband said, " You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee."
Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."
Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me.
"So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says....

One day, I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise.
Ah the beauty of God's creation is beyond description.
As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful work.
As I sat there, I felt the Lord's presence with me.
He asked me,
"Do you love me?" I answered, "Of course, God!
You are my Lord and Savior!"
Then He asked, "If you were physically handicapped, would you still
love me?"
I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs and the rest
of my body and wondered how many things I wouldn't; be able to
do, the things that I took for granted. And I answered,
"It would be tough Lord, but I would still love You."
Then the Lord said,
"If you were blind, would you still love my creation?"
How could I love something without being able to see it?
Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and how many of
them still loved God and His creation.
So I answered, "It's hard to think of it, but I would still love you."
The Lord then asked me,
"If you were deaf, would you still listen to my word?"
How could I listen to anything being deaf? Then I understood.
Listening to God's Word is not merely using our ears, but our hearts.
I answered,
"It would be tough, but I would still listen to Your word."
The Lord then asked,
"If you were mute, would you still praise My Name?"
How could I praise without a voice?
Then it occurred to me: God wants us to sing from our very heart
and soul.
It never matters what we sound like. And praising God is not always
with a song, but when we are persecuted, we give God praise with our
words of thanks. So I answered,
"Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise Your Name."
And the Lord asked,
"Do you really love Me?" With courage and a strong conviction, I
answered boldly,
" Yes Lord! I love You because You are the one and true God!"
I thought I had answered well, but...
God asked,
"THEN WHY DO YOU SIN?"
I answered, "Because I am only human. I am not perfect."
"THEN WHY IN TIMES OF PEACE DO YOU STRAY THE FURTHEST?
WHY ONLY IN TIMES OF TROUBLE DO YOU PRAY THE EARNEST?"
No answers. Only tears.
The Lord continued:
Why seek Me only in times of worship?
Why ask things so selfishly?
Why ask things so unfaithfully?"
The tears continued to roll down my cheeks.
"Why are you ashamed of Me?
Why are you not spreading the good news?
Why in times of persecution, you cry to others when I offer My
shoulder to cry on?
Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in My Name?"
I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give.
"You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift away.
I have blessed you with talents to serve Me, but you continue to
turn away.
I have revealed My Word to you, but you do not gain in knowledge.
I have spoken to you but your ears were closed.
I have shown My blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away.
I have sent you servants, but you sat idly by as they were pushed
away.
I have heard your prayers and I have answered them all."
"DO YOU TRULY LOVE ME ?"
I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief.
I had no excuse. What could I say to this?
When my heart had cried out and the tears had flowed, I said,
"Please forgive me Lord. I am unworthy to be Your child."
The Lord answered, "That is My Grace, My Child." I asked,
"Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do You love me so?"
The Lord answered,
" Because you are My Creation. You are my Child. I will never abandon
you.
When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you.
When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you.
When you are down, I will encourage you.
When you fall, I will raise you up.
When you are tired, I will carry you.
I will be with you till the end of days, and I will love you
forever."
This note is to everyone that's reading this. This is something
special, and it deserves to be passed around. Don't just read
this and forget about it, use it in your life. Use God in your life.
Remember always God loves US all... God Bless...

Why Women Cry
Why are you crying, a young boy asked his Mom?
"Because I'm a woman," she told him.
"I don't understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said,
"And you never will, but that's O.K.".......
Later the little boy asked his father,
"Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?".
"All women cry for no reason," was all his Dad could say......
The little boy grew up and became a man,
still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked "God, why do women cry so easily?"
GOD answered......
"When I made woman,
I decided she had to be special.
I made her shoulders
strong enough to carry
the weight of the world, yet,
made her arms gentle enough to give comfort... !
I gave her the inner strength
to endure childbirth
and the rejection
that many times will come
even from her own children.
I gave her a hardness
that allows her
to keep going and take care
of her family and friends,
even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without
complaining....
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all
circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly....
She has the very special power to make a child's boo-boo feel better and
to quell a teenager's anxieties and fears....
I gave her strength to care for her husband, despite faults
and I fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart....
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but
sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him
unfalteringly....
For all of this hard work,
I also gave her a tear to shed.
It is hers to use
whenever needed and
it is her only weakness....
When you see her cry,
tell her how much you love her, and all she does for everyone, and even though
she may still cry, you will have made her heart feel good.

IF SOMEONE HAD A GUN HELD IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE AND ASKED YOU IF YOU BELIEVED IN GOD, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? SAY NO AND FEEL ASHAMED THE REST OF YOUR LIFE? OR SAY YES, I DO, AND DIE STANDING UP FOR GOD? IF YOU'D SAY NO, THEN DELETE THIS E-MAIL. IF YOU WOULD SAY YES, AND STAND UP FOR JESUS CHRIST, PLEASE READ THIS AND PASS ON.
Note: This is a true article that was printed in a southern newspaper less than a year ago
TAKE A DEEP BREATH BEFORE READING THIS
There was an atheist couple who had a child. The couple never told their daughter anything about the Lord. One night when the little girl was 5 years old, the parents fought with each other and the Dad shot the Mom, right in front of the child. Then, the dad shot himself! The little girl watched it all. She then was sent to a foster home. The foster mother was a Christian and took the child to church. On the first day of Sunday School, the foster mother told the teacher that the girl had never heard of Jesus, and to have patience with her. The teacher held up a picture of Jesus and said, "Does anyone know who this is?" The little girl said, "I do, that's the man who was holding me the night my parents died."
If you believe this little girl is telling the truth that even though she had never heard of Jesus, he still held her the night her parents died, then you will forward this to as many people as you can.
Or you can delete it as if it never touched your heart.
Funny, isn't it?
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.
Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says. (Or is it scary?)
Funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also "believes" in God).
Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but the public discussion of Jesus is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week. (Are you laughing?)
Funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them.
Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me. (Are you thinking?)
Pass this on only if you mean it.
Yes, I do Love God

We never know when God is testing our faith. This is beautiful...
Please read on........
I sat with two friends, in the picture window of a quaint
restaurant
just off the corner of the town-square. The food and the company were
both
especially good that day. As we talked, my attention was drawn
outside,
across the street. There, walking into town was a man who appeared to
be
carrying all his worldly goods on his back. He was carrying, a
well-worn
sign that read, "I will work for food." My heart sank. I brought him
to the
attention of my friends and noticed that others around us had stopped
eating to focus on him. Heads moved in a mixture of sadness and
disbelief.
We continued with our meal, but his image lingered in my mind. We
finished
our meal and went our separate ways. I had errands to do and quickly
set
out to accomplish them. I glanced toward the town square, looking
somewhat
halfheartedly for the strange visitor. I was fearful, knowing that
seeing
him again would call some response. I drove through town and saw
nothing of
him. I made some purchases at a store
and got back in my car. Deep within me, the Spirit of God kept
speaking
to me: "Don't go back to the office until you've at least driven once
more
around the square." And so, with some hesitancy, I headed back into
town.
As I turned the square's third corner I saw him. He was standing on
the
steps of the storefront church, going through his sack. I stopped and
looked; feeling both compelled to speak to him, yet wanting to drive
on.
The empty parking space on the corner seemed to be a sign from God: an
invitation to park. I pulled in, got out and approached the town's
newest
visitor.
"Looking for the pastor?" I asked.
"Not really," he replied, "just resting."
"Have you eaten today?"
"Oh, I ate something early this morning."
"Would you like to have lunch with me?"
"Do you have some work I could do for you?"
"No work," I replied. "I commute here to work from the city, but
would
like
to take you to lunch."
"Sure," he replied with a smile. As he began to gather his things I
asked
some surface questions. "Where you headed?"
"St. Louis."
"Where you from?"
"Oh, all over; mostly Florida."
"How long you been walking?"
"Fourteen years," came the reply.
I knew I had met someone unusual. We sat across from each other in the
same
restaurant I had left earlier. His face was weathered slightly beyond
his
38 years. His eyes were dark yet clear, and spoke with an eloquence
and
articulation that was startling. He removed his jacket to reveal right
red
T-shirt that said, "Jesus is The Never Ending Story." Then Daniel's
story
began to unfold. He had seen rough times early in life. He'd made some
wrong choices and reaped the quences. Fourteen years earlier, while
backpacking across the country, he had stopped on the beach in
Daytona. He
tried to hire on with some men who were putting up a large tent and
some
equipment. A concert, he thought. He was hired, but the tent would not
house a concert but revival services, and in those services he saw
life
more clearly. He gave his life over to God.
"Nothing's been the same since," he said, "I felt the Lord telling me
to
keep walking, and so I did, some 14 years now." "Ever think of
stopping?" I
asked. "Oh, once in a while, when it seems to get the best of me. But
God
has given me this calling. I give out Bibles. That's what's in my
sack. I
work to buy food and Bibles, and I give them out when His Spirit
leads." I
sat amazed. My homeless friend was not homeless. He was on a mission
and
lived this way by choice. The question burned inside for a moment and
then
I asked:
"What's it like?"!
"What?"
"To walk into a town carrying all your things on your back and to show
your
sign?"
"Oh, it was humiliating at first. People would stare and make
comments.
Once someone tossed a piece of half-eaten bread and made a gesture
that
certainly didn't make me feel welcome. But then it became humbling to
realize that God was using me to touch lives and change people's
concepts
of other folks like me." My concept was changing, too. We finished our
dessert and gathered his things. Just outside the door, he paused. He
turned to me and said, "Come Ye blessed of my Father and inherit the
kingdom I've prepared for you. For when I was hungry you gave me food,
when
I was thirsty you gave me drink, a stranger and you took me in." I
felt as
if we were on holy ground. "Could you use another Bible?" I asked.
He said he preferred a certain translation. It traveled well and was
not
too heavy. It was also his personal favorite.
"I've read through it 14 times," he said.
"I'm not sure we've got one of those, but let's stop by our church and
see." I was able to find my new friend a Bible that would do well, and
he
seemed very grateful.
"Where you headed from here?
"Well, I found this little map on the back of this amusement park
coupon."
"Are you hoping to hire on there for awhile?"
"No, I just figure I should go there. I figure someone under that star
right there needs a Bible, so that's where I'm going next." He smiled,
and
the warmth of his spirit radiated the sincerity of his mission. I
drove
him back to the town-square where we'd met two hours earlier, and as
we
drove, it started raining. We parked and unloaded his things.
"Would you sign my autograph book?" he asked.
"I like to keep messages from folks I meet."
I wrote in his little book that his commitment to his calling had
touched
my life. I encouraged him to stay strong. And I left him with a verse
of
scripture from Jeremiah, "I know the plans I have for you," declared
the
Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a
future
and a hope."
"Thanks, man," he said. "I know we just met and we're really just
strangers, but I love you."
"I know," I said, "I love you, too."
"The Lord is good!"
"Yes, He is. How long has it been since someone hugged you?" I asked.
"A long time," he replied. And soon the busy street corner in the
drizzling
rain, my new friend and I embraced, and I felt deep inside that I had
been
changed. He put his things on his back, smiled his winning smile and
said,
"See you in the New Jerusalem."
"I'll be there!" was my reply.
He began his journey again. He headed away with his sign dangling from
his
bedroll and pack of Bibles. He stopped, turned and said, "When you see
something that makes you think of me, will you pray for me?"
"You bet," I shouted back, "God bless."
"God bless." And that was the last I saw of him. Late that evening as
I
left my office, the wind blew strong. The cold front had settled hard
upon
the town. I bundled up and hurried to my car. As I sat back and
reached for
the emergency brake, I saw them... a pair of well-worn brown work
gloves
neatly laid over the length of the handle. I picked them up and
thought of
my friend and wondered if his hands would stay warm that night without
them. I remembered his words:
If you see something that makes you think of me, will you pray for
me?"
Today his gloves lie on my desk in my office. They help me to see the
world
and its people in a new way, and they help me remember those two hours
with
my unique friend and to pray for his ministry.
"See you in the New Jerusalem," he said. Yes, Daniel, I know I will...
My instructions were to send this to four people that I wanted God to
bless
and I picked you. Please pass this on to four people that you want to
be
blessed. This prayer is powerful and there are no strings attached,
however, may I request that you do not break this pattern, as prayer
is one
of the best gifts we can receive. There is no cost but a lot of
rewards,
let's continue to pray for one another. God bless and have a nice day!
"Father, I ask you to bless my friends, relatives and e-mail buddies
reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and
power.
Holy Spirit, I ask you to minister to their spirit at this very
moment.
Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is
self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace, In Jesus'
precious Name. Amen."
(I know I picked more than four, and you can, too.)

Sometimes we spend time asking who is responsible or who to
blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people
we know. We miss out some warmth in human relationship to
give each other support. Treasure what you have. Just a
little story for you :
A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage.
They were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their
eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the
husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for work so
he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the
cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen totally
forgot the matter.
The boy playfully went to the medicine bottle and, fascinated
with its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous
medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child
showed signs of poisoning the mother took him to the
hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was
terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father
came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his
wife and uttered just four words.
QUESTIONS :
1. What were the four words ?
2. What is the implication of this story ?
ANSWER :
The husband just said "I Love You Darling" .
The husband's totally unexpected reaction is proactive
behavior. He is indeed a genius in human relationships. The
child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is
no point in finding fault with the mother. She had also lost
her only child. What she needed at that moment was
consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he
gave her.
If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective,
there would be much fewer problems in the world. To be happy
with a man you must understand him a lot and love him a
little. To be happy with a woman you must understand her a
lot and love her with all your heart.
"A journey of a
thousand miles, begins with but with a single step." Take off
all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and
fears AND you will find things are actually not so difficult
as you think."

The story goes that two friends were walking through
the desert. During some point of the journey they had
an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in
the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying
anything, wrote in the sand: "Today my best friend
slapped me in the face."
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where
they decided to take a bath. The one who had been
slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning,
but the friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on
a stone: "Today my best friend saved my life."
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend
asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand
and now you write on a stone. Why?"
The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us we
should write it down in sand where winds of
forgiveness can erase it away. But when someone does
something good for us, we must engrave it in stone
where no wind can ever erase it."
LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE
YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person an
hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an
entire life to forget them.
Take the time to live.
